This learning opportunity is meant to supplement the training our
actors receive in our Prep4rep and Teen Repertory programs. It is
important for an actor to develop holistically to better prepare him
or her for future endeavors in theatre arts. Our conservatory track
will provide a foundation in dance and singing. An actor will not
necessarily be a singer or dancer - this training is meant to
improve the actor’s overall instrument. Vocal training improves
diction, breath support required for projection, and vocal range.
Aptitude in dance strengthens an actor’s core, increases flexibility,
and teaches work ethic and discipline. All of these skills are
needed to support the large array of genres found in theatre.
